We are really excited to be attending the Liberal Democrats party conference in Bournemouth on 14-17 September.

In many ways, this party conference season is set to be the most intriguing yet.

The Liberal Democrats’ focus in recent weeks has been working cross-party to pass legislation preventing a no-deal Brexit. Beyond this, the Party's campaign to stop Brexit and continue their fight for a more equal society is sure to continue and be stepped up, especially with a General Election looking highly likely.

In recent days, there have been a flurry of MPs switching from Conservative, Labour and Change UK Parties to the Lib Dems. Three MPs made the move this week, taking the total to five MPs in three months joining the Party.

The Lib Dems enjoyed a surge among UK voters at the European elections, after taking a clear stance as the party of Remain. But will this popularity translate into votes in a General Election, particularly in Conservative / Labour marginal seats?

This party conference is the first time Jo Swinson will address conference participants as Leader. It will be a great opportunity to get to know her more as a leader and to hear how she intends on shaping the Lib Dems' #fightback. What issues will she address in her policy agenda?

As many of our customers and associates are from the transport and infrastructure sectors, we will be keen to hear how the Liberal Democrats are planning on supporting a zero-carbon future, their attitudes to major infrastructure projects and how they will increase mobile connectivity in rural areas. We will be monitoring the transport and infrastructure fringe events to get the most up-to-date news for our customers.

JFG comms is passionate about gender issues, so we will also be paying close attention to workshops and debates that centre around issues such as the gender pay gap, STEM careers and increased support for working parents.

We are excited to meet MPs and fellow industry professionals, as well as network with some new faces. If you would like to connect or speak with our Managing Director, Jo Field, please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
