Labour party conference Brighton 2019

We are excited to be attending the Labour party conference in Brighton on 21-25 September.

With Brexit continuing to overshadow UK politics and, perhaps, a neglect of domestic policy in recent years, it is going to be an interesting and unique party conference.

This year Labour has had to deal with many 'internal' problems. From the mishandling of anti-Semitism in the party, the declining popularity of Jeremy Corbyn and their somewhat hesitance to determine a clear stance on Brexit has caused a whole new set of problems for the party. With a General Election looking highly likely, it will be interesting to see if party members use conference to push for a clearer position on Brexit.

It will be a fascinating week of debates, workshops and hearing what Labour plans to do with the imminent issues facing the UK. As many of our customers and associates are from the transport and infrastructure sectors, we will be keen to hear how Labour is planning on supporting a zero-carbon future, their attitudes to major infrastructure projects and how they will increase mobile connectivity in rural areas. We will be monitoring the transport and infrastructure fringe events to get the most up-to-date news for our clients.

JFG comms is also passionate about gender issues so we will also be paying close attention to workshops and debates that centre around issues such as the gender pay gap, STEM careers and increased support for working parents.

We are excited to meet MPs and fellow industry professionals, as well as network with some new faces. If you would like to connect or speak with our Managing Director Jo Field, please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
