A look at the transport industry in November
In November leaders from around the world gathered together in Glasgow for the two-week Cop26 meeting to take action on climate change. Most importantly for the transport industry, the event saw representatives of governments, businesses and other organisations with an influence over the future of the automotive industry and road transport, commit to rapidly accelerating the transition to zero emission vehicles to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement. It was agreed to work towards sales of all new cars and vans being zero emission globally by 2040, and by no later than 2035 in leading markets.

A look at the transport industry in October
Earlier this month we saw the release of the government’s Net Zero Strategy, setting out policies and proposals for decarbonising all sectors of the UK economy to meet the Net Zero target by 2050. Transport featured heavily in the strategy with commitments across public transport, active travel and e-mobility.
