Women In Transport Confirms Continued Cross-Party Support To Tackle The Under-Representation Of Women In The Sector Workforce

Women in Transport has today announced the continued support of parliamentarians from across the political spectrum in tackling the under-representation of women in the sector workforce, confirmed at the Annual General Meeting for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Women in Transport on 17th June.

We are delighted to be recognised as an Approved Training Provider by the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT).

This month the transport industry saw the announcement of some of the biggest rail reforms in a generation, with the launch of the Williams-Shapps Plan for Rail Reform. The paper brings an end to the franchising system we are used to, and will introduce a new national body, responsible for running and planning the network, owning the infrastructure, setting fares and timetables and procuring services from private companies.
