The 24th May marked the one-year anniversary of the Elizabeth line opening. A year on and it boasts around 3.5 million journeys a week with roughly 600,000 every weekday. Peak time frequencies have increased from 22 to up to 24 trains per hour in the central section as the line becomes one of the most used railways in the country. The project perfectly illustrates how effective public transport services encourage economic growth by connecting people with jobs, education and leisure activities.
